Event Rules & Policies

These policies help keep authors and attendees safe and ensure a respectful and fun experience for all. By attending a Pink Couch Books event, you agree to follow our guidelines.

Tickets

  • Tickets are non-refundable within 72 hours of the event. Tickets canceled with less than 72 hours’ notice will not be refunded.

  • Some events may be non-refundable altogether, which will be noted clearly on the event listing.

  • Each event listing will explain what is included with your ticket.

  • Please arrive on time. Doors open 15 minutes before most events.

  • If your ticket includes a book and you do not attend, it will be held for 7 days. All other items/activities included will be forfeited.

  • If not picked up within that time, your item will be restocked.


Behavior and Etiquette

  • Treat fellow attendees, authors, and staff with kindness and courtesy.

  • Disruptive, aggressive, or disrespectful behavior - as determined by Pink Couch Staff - won’t be tolerated.

  • Food and drinks are subject to venue rules. Alcohol is never permitted unless provided by Pink Couch or the venue. 

  • Meta glasses are not allowed.

  • Please ask permission before taking photos/videos of other guests.

  • To make the best out of your interaction in an author meet and greet, please refrain from approaching with your phone recording. 

  • Ask permission before touching authors.

  • Our staff will handle photos of you and the authors. Please follow all staff instructions in meet and greet lines.

  • Photography and social sharing are welcome, as long as it is not disruptive to the event and you are being mindful of other’s boundaries.

  • Give others room to enjoy the event at their own pace.

  • Avoid interrupting private conversations or monopolizing an author’s time during signings.

  • Any form of harassment or discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, ability, or appearance will result in immediate removal from the event.
